Pamela Leist

Pamela Leist has lived in Fairbanks, AK for most of her life, attending school at Nordale, Maine Jr. High and Lathrop High School.  She attended Evangel College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, (now Evangel University), in Springfield, Missouri before returning to Fairbanks.  Pamela was married and she and her husband raised two daughters, and now have two sons-in-law and seven grandchildren, ranging in age from 4 years to 15 years.  She has retired twice from the University of Alaska where she has spent her time working in the student services arena, both at the local campus and the rural campuses served by UAF.  Currently she works part-time at UAF, still in her favorite area, student services.  Raised in a family with her mother an elementary school teacher, education has always been an important part of her life.  Making it an enjoyable and rewarding part of each student's life is what is important to her, and the knowledge that it is attainable.  Her hobbies include catering a variety of events, reading, spending time with family and attending and serving in her church.
